here, or there?

Hey blog, how have you been? So recently in blogs, I've talked about my trip to New York and how I want to write about it, but I'm having a bit of a dilemma. On one hand, I want to write about New York but on the other I feel Miami would be interesting as it is close in proximity to where I live. There is lots in Miami, even I haven't tried yet. With that in mind I created a list of both the places. Since I recently took a trip to New York, I'm going to take a trip to Miami to refresh my memory on certain things and try new stuff too! I wanna go over spring break with my friends, so I'll let you know how it goes! Anyway, that's it for this blog, see you next time! -Jack

the city that never sleeps

Hey blog, so I recently took a trip to New York this weekend with my Dad and took a lot of good photos. My Dad even took a photo of me taking a photo! Since I wanted to include a second article, I decided on New York since my recent trip. I ate at a bunch of cool places and loved my time at Central Park, see the pictures (in case you couldn't tell)! I went to the top of the New World Trade Center for lunch and it had both great food and views. One of the best parts of New York is that it isn't difficult to travel to, there's many affordable options for travel, lodging, and activities. Anyway, see you next time blog! -Jack

content, content, content.

Hi blog, welcome back. So I've been looking at a bunch of different magazine table of contents and I've seen a lot I like. I'll attach some below. Following that I've decided to include more than just the minimum, I would like to include a second or even third article. I haven't decided the place yet but since the two-page spread is Hawaii, I want to do something different. I'll keep you updated, see you in the next blog! -Jack

on the road

hi blog, I've been unbelievably busy recently but I'm back!!! I officially decided on a magazine title, "On The Road". And with the rest of the cover being done, the next thing I must tackle is the table of contents. I was thinking I'd do a horizontal row of all the places I decided to include (included in two posts ago) with pictures on every other side. This way it isn't too complicated and messy but still provides an artsy aesthetic. As for the other side I am not quite sure yet, I might include an image and half an article. See you guys in the next post! -Jack

the cover

Hello World, welcome back to another blog. I've done a little bit more planning than the last time I update you guys. I've brainstormed magazine tittles and come up with a few: Around the World, Permanent Vacation, Travelers Digest, On the Road. I want my magazine tittle to be bold and stand out, both with the name and with the font/color I decide to use. As for the rest of the cover, as I mentioned in a previous post, I want it to be simple but striking, but for the photo I chose a beautiful image. I edited it as little as possible so that people won't be disappointed if they ever get the chance to see in person. I've chosen it because of its vibrant colors but I don't want to include it because I want it to be a surprise, but I promise it's a good one. I've also chosen the other articles to include (other than the main two page spread about Hawaii). I chose "33 Flying Hacks", "91 things to do in New York City" and "3 best places to take a photo". That's it for this blog, see you next time.

the fore front

Welcome back to another blog! I'm sure my decision to change my magazine genre to travel, left you excited to see what I had plan! I've recently compiled a list of all the places I've traveled and narrowed it down to the places I want to include the most in my magazine. I chose, Hawaii, Colorado, California, Canada, Ireland, Miami, and New York! I have thousands of experiences of places to eat, things to see, and fun activities to do in all of these places! For my main two page spread, I chose Hawaii because of its uniqueness on my list of places, and the natural beauty it has. For research, I looked back through my photos of all the places on my list, and selected the best photos and placed them into a separate album. Additionally, I've researched prices for travel and lodging in different places in Hawaii to see which is the most affordable but still nice. For the Miami part of my magazine because I am so close, I'm trying to plan a trip there with friends to try things I haven't done there before and eat places I've never tried. For taking the best quality pictures, I have both my phone and a higher quality Canon camera. I'm going to attach some of the photos I am planning on including in my magazine as a little preview! Enjoy, and see you next time.

simple and seductive

Hi guys, welcome back to another blog. Its been a while. I've done some research and thinking recently, and I've decided to change the genre/topic of my magazine issue. I had it as student life, but I'm going to change it to travel. I've been fortunate enough to be able to travel to places around the world: California, Ireland, Hawaii, to name a few. With that I have documented hundreds of pictures of those places and I;m going to place the best ones in my magazine. I wanna show whomever will be reading my magazine that the world is a big, beautiful places waiting to be explored. I'm taking lots of inspiration for "Travel and Leisure" has they have endless lists on places to visit. In addition to places to visit, they also have travel deals, cruises, lists of the best places, etc. For my cover image, I wanna have an eye catching a photo that stands out to other similar magazines. One that shows off the beauty of wherever the particular place I choose. So far, these are some examples of what I might want to base my cover of off, something simple yet elegant and beautiful. Stay tuned for another blog post! -Jack
